Job Summary:

Lead and support a team of Clinical Data Management (CDM) professionals in delivering high-quality, efficient, and compliant databases. Ensure project deliverables align with customer expectations and timelines. Foster employee development, engagement, and continuous improvement while contributing to strategic planning and business growth.


Key Responsibilities:

Team & Project Leadership

  • Manage and mentor CDM team to ensure effective project execution and career development.

  • Conduct bi-monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports to discuss project updates, training needs, career goals, and resource planning.

  • Ensure coverage and support for staff during absences or transitions.

  • Monitor team utilization, performance metrics, and operational risks.

Operational Excellence

  • Provide expert guidance for CDM deliverables including:

    • CRF/eCRF design

    • Database setup and validation

    • Data Management Plans (DMPs)

    • Final database delivery

  • Offer technical advice and proactive solutions to internal and external stakeholders to improve efficiency and resolve issues.

  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and project scopes.

Business & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Participate in proposal development, bid defenses, and kick-off meetings.

  • Support RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), and budgeting activities.

  • Collaborate with project leads to plan for current and future resource needs, peak workloads, and technology requirements.

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Support and participate in internal and external audits and inspections.

  • Ensure staff readiness and training for audits.

Communication & Leadership

  • Facilitate effective communication between leadership and teams.

  • Encourage transparency, initiative, and ownership among team members.

  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and collaboration.


Qualifications:

Requirement Details
Education Bachelor’s degree in clinical, biological, or mathematical sciences, or nursing qualification (Required)
Experience 7+ years of relevant experience, including people management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Technical Skills Advanced understanding of CDM systems, processes, and clinical development lifecycle
Leadership Skills Proven team management, mentoring, motivation, and coaching abilities
Communication Strong written and verbal communication; skilled in facilitation and collaboration
Organizational Abilities Strong prioritization, time management, and multitasking skills
Financial Acumen Basic understanding of project financials (EAC, forecasting, burn rate, out-of-scope tracking)
Problem-Solving Proactive risk identification and resolution with sound judgment and decision-making skills
