Job Summary:

Eli Lilly is seeking a skilled Medical Writer – Medical Affairs to develop high-quality scientific and regulatory content that supports healthcare professionals, payers, and regulatory bodies across the drug development lifecycle. This role involves developing slide decks, newsletters, patient education tools, and more. Candidates must bring technical writing expertise, strong therapeutic understanding, and the ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, draft, review, and finalize medical affairs documents such as:

    • Executive Medical Summaries

    • Internal & external training slides

    • Manuscript and data slide decks

    • HCP/patient educational content

    • Advisory board and competitive intelligence slides

  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all scientific documents.

  • Lead document development from initiation to final delivery.

  • Collect and evaluate inputs from global teams to develop strategic content.

  • Manage timelines and collaborate with stakeholders for timely project delivery.

  • Conduct quality checks and document control to maintain compliance.

  • Work with vendors and cross-functional teams when needed.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, health, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).

  • Proven experience in medical or scientific writing, especially within medical affairs or regulatory domains.

  • Strong grasp of clinical pharmacology, therapeutic areas, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Familiarity with medical communication tools and document management systems.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and project management capability.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience developing materials for Medical Affairs (e.g., HCP/patient slides, newsletters).

  • Background in clinical development, regulatory writing, or medical publications.

  • Specific domain knowledge in areas like oncology, neuroscience, immunology, or cardiovascular is advantageous.
