Position Overview
The Medical Writer II (Funding e-Request) will manage request management systems, maintain external funding databases, perform quality control (QC) checks on IIS requests, and develop high-quality documentation for clinical and healthcare projects. This role requires a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive professional with strong communication skills who can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track, manage, and maintain request management systems to ensure accurate processing of funding requests.

  • Maintain and update external funding databases and client learning platforms for consistency.

  • Perform QC checks on IIS requests and other submissions to ensure accuracy.

  • Develop and update resource tracking sheets, project documentation, and work instructions.

  • Provide input to project plans and support project execution, ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Communicate project progress, potential risks, and mitigation strategies to project leads and managers.

  • Ensure team understanding of client requirements and project scope.

  • Support team members in project execution and maintain high-quality deliverables.

  • Review all outputs for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with client expectations.

  • Represent Syneos Health’s vision, mission, and values in all communications and project work.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of experience in medical writing, healthcare, or life sciences domains.

  • Postgraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or related field from a recognized institution.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce concise and professional documentation.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within project teams.

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate outputs and meeting deadlines.
