🧭 Summary

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) leads scientific engagement with healthcare professionals and Medical Experts (MEs) to advance evidence-based understanding of Novartis products. The role focuses on implementing clinical and educational strategies, addressing unsolicited medical inquiries, and gathering field insights to inform product strategy and patient access initiatives.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

🔹 Scientific Engagement

  • Conduct impactful scientific discussions with healthcare professionals aligned with the medical strategy.

  • Deliver tailored scientific content through both digital and in-person channels.

  • Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries with accuracy and compliance.

🔹 Evidence Generation & Insights

  • Identify data gaps and opportunities for real-world evidence and precision medicine initiatives.

  • Collect and share field insights to inform product strategy, evidence generation, and medical planning.

🔹 Clinical Support

  • Support clinical trial execution, including site identification, education, and engagement.

  • Partner with investigators and study sites to ensure successful trial conduct.

🔹 Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (medical, regulatory, access, commercial) to enhance patient outcomes.

  • Support initiatives that improve patient access, disease awareness, and treatment optimization.

🔹 Digital Excellence

  • Apply digital and IT solutions to optimize stakeholder engagement, insight collection, and medical communication.


🎓 Role Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Health or Life Sciences (PharmD, PhD, MD preferred).

  • 2–3 years of experience in a medical function within a therapeutic area.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, research procedures, and industry guidelines.

  • Proven ability to leverage digital tools for engagement and insight generation.

  • Excellent scientific presentation and communication skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical affairs role within a pharmaceutical company.

  • Deep understanding of pharma industry guidelines and compliance standards.

  • Proficiency in digital platforms for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
