Job Description

The Position

As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) / Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) in Immunology and Gene Therapy, you will act as a scientific expert engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the fields of otolaryngology and gene therapy, particularly focusing on recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP). You will provide scientific exchange, build relationships, and facilitate collaborations with leading medical and research institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary medical point of contact in the assigned geographic area.
  • Maintain expertise in otolaryngology, gene therapy, and RRP treatment standards.
  • Engage in peer-to-peer scientific discussions with KOLs and HCPs on company pipeline therapies.
  • Track and execute KOL engagement plans to develop long-term collaborations.
  • Provide scientific support for investigator-initiated research and company-sponsored clinical trials.
  • Attend and contribute to medical advisory boards, conferences, and congresses.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to align strategic scientific messaging.
  • Educate internal teams on scientific and clinical data.
  • Travel up to 70% for KOL meetings, conferences, and training.

Qualifications

Preferred Requirements:

  • Advanced degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, or NP/PA).
  • MSL: Minimum 2 years of MSL experience, including 1 year in rare disease, oncology, or immunology.
  • Sr. MSL: Minimum 5 years of pharma experience, with 3 years in rare disease, oncology, or immunology.
  • Gene therapy and cell therapy experience preferred.
  • Prior product launch experience required.
  • Strong ability to interpret and present complex scientific data.
  • Familiarity with payer systems, formulary committees, and healthcare institutions.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills.
