Job Summary:

Novo Nordisk is hiring a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support the Cardiovascular and Emerging Therapy Areas (CETA) team in Chiyoda, Japan. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage key opinion leaders, provide scientific education, and support clinical development initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, engage, and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).

  • Gather and share medical insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize product positioning.

  • Conduct scientific exchanges and educational initiatives with HCPs and stakeholders.

  • Support clinical trial activities including site selection, initiation, and patient recruitment.

  • Provide scientific support to field teams and assist with speaker development initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and global medical guidelines.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in health sciences (Master’s required; Doctorate preferred in Medical or Pharmacy disciplines).

  • Prior experience in cardiology, endocrinology, or diabetes therapeutic areas is highly desirable.

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in scientific literature review and medical terminology.

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); Japanese fluency is advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and compliance processes.

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
