About the Role

Bayer Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Cardio to support its cardiovascular and neurology therapeutic areas. The MSL will serve as a scientific and medical expert, engaging with Thought Leaders (TLs) including physicians, researchers, and medical societies to provide accurate, evidence-based medical information and support Bayer’s medical strategy.

This role blends scientific exchange, clinical trial collaboration, advisory board participation, and strategic engagement with key stakeholders in the cardio and stroke therapy areas.


Key Responsibilities

Primary Activities:

  • Scientific Exchange and Education:

    • Proactively and reactively disseminate medical, scientific, and research information to Thought Leaders (TLs) and healthcare professionals.

    • Provide clarification and education on clinical data, study protocols, professional literature, meeting abstracts, and regulatory-compliant discussions on product indications.

  • Clinical Trial Support:

    • Participate in company-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical research activities.

    • Facilitate communication between TLs, clinical investigators, and internal teams.

  • Medical Society and Advisory Board Engagement:

    • Respond to scientific queries from medical societies.

    • Organize, support, and participate in advisory boards.

  • Congress and Event Participation:

    • Attend national and international congresses and conventions to engage with TLs, network, and gather competitive intelligence.

  • Scientific Education Coordination:

    • Plan and organize scientific training sessions, workshops, and educational events for TLs within the cardiovascular and stroke therapy domains.

  • TL Profiling and Engagement Strategy:

    • Support internal teams by identifying and profiling TLs, understanding their interests and expertise, and contributing to engagement strategy planning.

  • Reporting and Activity Tracking:

    • Submit timely activity reports and track outcomes against agreed objectives.

Secondary Activities:

  • Provide additional scientific support, training, and education outside of primary responsibilities, including ad-hoc initiatives and special projects.


Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Education: MD, MBBS, BDS, or MDS in relevant medical or dental field.

  • Experience: 1–5 years of relevant experience in medical affairs, clinical liaison, or pharmaceutical industry roles, preferably in cardiovascular or neurology therapy areas.

  • Knowledge:

    • Understanding of clinical trial design, rationale, and execution.

    • Familiarity with cardiovascular and stroke therapy-related molecules.

  • Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

    • Strategic thinker capable of building productive relationships with TLs and internal stakeholders.
