Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve post-marketing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reports for medical/causality assessment. This includes coding, seriousness assessment, listedness/expectedness, company causality, comments, follow-up questions, and Analysis of Similar Events (AoSE), as needed.

  • Review literature screening strategies and assess articles for ICSRs/SAEs related to relevant medicinal products or other safety findings.

  • Review database outputs and provide input for Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs) and Development Safety Update Reports (DSURs).

  • Participate in signal detection activities, including meetings and writing signal detection reports.

  • Propose a course of action when a potential signal is identified.


Required Qualifications:

  • Medical qualification as a physician

  • Demonstrated experience in pharmacovigilance

  • Experience with aggregate reports and signal detection is desirable

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks

  • Effective cross-cultural and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
