Job Responsibilities:
Review and approve post-marketing Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reports for medical/causality assessment. This includes coding, seriousness assessment, listedness/expectedness, company causality, comments, follow-up questions, and Analysis of Similar Events (AoSE), as needed.
Review literature screening strategies and assess articles for ICSRs/SAEs related to relevant medicinal products or other safety findings.
Review database outputs and provide input for Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs) and Development Safety Update Reports (DSURs).
Participate in signal detection activities, including meetings and writing signal detection reports.
Propose a course of action when a potential signal is identified.
Required Qualifications:
Medical qualification as a physician
Demonstrated experience in pharmacovigilance
Experience with aggregate reports and signal detection is desirable
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks
Effective cross-cultural and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
