Medical Advisor – Pharmacovigilance | Mumbai

Job Summary:

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is hiring a qualified Medical Advisor to support its Pharmacovigilance division in Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for formulating scientific strategy, engaging key thought leaders, and managing a wide range of medical activities aligned with therapeutic area (TA) medical plans. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 2–4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry, holding an MBBS with MD in Pharmacology/Medicine or a relevant post-graduate medical qualification.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the scientific lead for the Therapeutic Area (TA) strategy within the cross-functional franchise team.

  • Design and manage medical affairs programs including research, publications, education, and patient support in line with TA strategy.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key thought leaders and stakeholders in the therapeutic area.

  • Oversee execution of the strategic medical affairs plan via regional medical teams including education, product training, and special projects.

  • Act as a subject-matter expert on therapeutic areas, providing scientific updates and training to sales, marketing, and internal teams.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: MBBS with MD in Pharmacology/Medicine or equivalent postgraduate medical qualification.

  • Experience: 2–4 years in pharmaceutical industry or research (Medical Advisor capacity preferred).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Familiarity with medical writing, clinical trial methodologies, research design, and ICH-GCP guidelines.

    • Knowledge of Indian regulations for clinical trials and HCP interactions (MCI & UCPMP codes).

    • Expertise in interpreting medical data and research methodologies.

    • Strategic and scientific acumen to engage peer specialists confidently.
