Job Overview

Wellscript is looking for a dedicated Pharmacist to join our infusion team and help provide high-quality infusion therapy services to patients across Northern California. Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Prepare medications and provide pharmacological information to healthcare teams.
  • Monitor patient drug therapies and advise on necessary interventions.
  • Direct and organize the workflow of Pharmacy Technicians, verifying their preparation, labeling of pharmaceuticals, and order entries.
  • Answer questions from healthcare professionals and provide counseling to patients on drug therapies.

Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to state and federal drug laws, including regulations from the State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA.
  • Maintain records for controlled substances and remove outdated or damaged drugs from inventory.
  • Supervise support personnel and ensure compliance with infection-control protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Customer Service:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at facility locations.
  • Demonstrate genuine care for patients and ensure the accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1-3 years in a pharmacy setting; experience in Long Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or Infusion Pharmacy is preferred.
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid California Pharmacist License.
