Job Title: Managing Consultant


Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Managing Consultant to join our growing team at Navitas Life Sciences. This leadership role involves overseeing a portfolio of consultancy projects, owning key client relationships, and driving significant business development efforts to build and extend the firm’s reach within the life sciences industry.


Key Responsibilities

Project & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead a portfolio of consultancy projects from initiation to delivery

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment on scope, goals, and timelines

  • Develop project management plans, structures, reporting tools, and status updates

  • Manage and track scope, risks, deliverables, dependencies, and profitability

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide strategic oversight in solution development

  • Ensure high-quality implementation of client-specific solutions to reinforce Navitas Life Sciences’ brand

Client Engagement & Business Development

  • Own and expand client relationships (manage 4–5 clients directly)

  • Proactively drive revenue growth with a contribution target of ~$500K

  • Conduct business development activities including needs assessment, proposal writing, and RFP responses

  • Lead client meetings, develop tailored proposals, and manage contract negotiations

  • Maintain client satisfaction through effective communication and solution delivery

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Mentor and guide 2–6 project team members across multiple projects

  • Set project goals, give constructive feedback, and support personal development

  • Promote team collaboration and provide support as a leader and role model

Strategic & Organizational Contributions

  • Actively contribute to internal business improvement initiatives and strategic themes

  • Develop internal and client-facing collateral (e.g., case studies, best practices, PoVs)

  • Share expertise as an internal SME, leading knowledge sharing and training

  • Facilitate internal meetings and demonstrate leadership through company representation


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 8+ years in Life Sciences or consulting, including:

    • 4+ years in a senior consulting capacity

    • 3+ years within a Life Sciences/Pharma company

    • 2+ years in a business development role

  • Domain expertise in at least one of the following:

    • Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance

    • Clinical Development Processes

    • Labelling and Regulatory Affairs

    • Risk Management, Quality, and Compliance

Consulting & Delivery

  • Advanced consulting toolkit (frameworks, methodologies, analysis tools)

  • Strong project management skills: planning, resourcing, reporting, issue/risk resolution

  • Proven success in leading complex, multi-stream projects

Client Management & Communication

  • Strong facilitator and communicator with compelling presence

  • Skilled in senior stakeholder management with high emotional intelligence

  • Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable solutions

Business Development

  • Demonstrated track record in business development with ~$500K+ revenue impact

  • Experience in lead generation, proposal development, contract negotiation

  • Strong account management and client retention capabilities
