Job Overview

The Manager – Projects and Strategic Scientific Affairs will lead the design and execution of innovative scientific and strategic initiatives aligned with the organization’s long-term healthcare vision. The role focuses on scientific engagement, stakeholder collaboration, digital medical outreach, and medico-marketing strategy development across multiple therapeutic areas.

This position requires strong expertise in pharmaceutical market insights, key opinion leader (KOL) engagement, scientific advocacy, and cross-functional collaboration. The candidate will support medical affairs operations by driving strategic initiatives, strengthening institutional partnerships, and enhancing digital scientific capabilities.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement long-term and short-term scientific strategies aligned with organizational healthcare goals.

  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with 300+ key opinion leaders (KOLs) across multiple therapeutic areas.

  • Lead external advocacy initiatives with government and non-government healthcare institutions for effective implementation of strategic programs.

  • Support medical affairs teams with scientific competitive intelligence and therapeutic insights.

  • Facilitate strategic inputs from KOLs for new product introductions (NPIs) and lifecycle management initiatives.

  • Develop and execute scientific outreach and market access strategies using digital healthcare platforms.

  • Drive digital capability enhancement initiatives within Medical Affairs functions.

  • Contribute to medico-marketing strategy development by supporting business and marketing leaders with data-driven insights.

  • Collaborate with medical societies and external stakeholders to implement innovative scientific programs and strengthen market positioning.


Core Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous engagement initiatives with 1,000+ KOLs across multiple therapeutic areas and business units.

  • Collaborate with state and regional medical associations and healthcare stakeholders to implement corporate scientific initiatives.

  • Establish partnerships with national and state-level medical associations and professional societies.

  • Manage stakeholder relationships with healthcare institutions, scientific advocacy groups, and decision-making authorities.

  • Support scientific outreach initiatives through digital healthcare platforms and tools.

  • Coordinate with finance, legal, compliance, and procurement teams for stakeholder contracts and agreements.

  • Support publication of clinical studies and scientific position papers in collaboration with publishers and research partners.

  • Lead organizational participation in national medical conferences and scientific forums.

  • Develop and execute strategic medical projects and signature programs across business units.

  • Provide strategic support to medical affairs and commercial teams in key therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, diabetes, metabolic diseases, cardiology, psychiatry, adult immunization, insomnia, and clinical nutrition.
