Job Summary:
ICON plc, a global leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research, is hiring a Manager, Pharmacovigilance in Tokyo, Japan. In this pivotal office-based role, you will lead pharmacovigilance operations, ensuring timely and compliant reporting of safety data. Key Responsibilities:
Manage pharmacovigilance teams to ensure accurate and timely adverse event reporting in compliance with global regulations
Develop and implement policies to enhance safety monitoring and risk management strategies
Collaborate with clinical operations and regulatory affairs to integrate safety data into clinical development
Analyze safety trends to identify risks and support decision-making in clinical studies
Stay abreast of evolving global pharmacovigilance regulations and industry best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field (Advanced degree or certification preferred)
Extensive experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety in clinical research or pharma industry
Deep understanding of safety regulations and global compliance requirements
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across functions and cultures
Fluency in Japanese and English is a plus
