Role Overview
Syneos Health is seeking an experienced Manager, Clinical Operations – CRA Line Manager to provide leadership, oversight, and mentorship to Clinical Operations staff in a full-service, home-based role. This position ensures operational excellence, compliance with GCP/ICH guidelines, and the successful delivery of clinical trial activities across the assigned portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Clinical Operations staff, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, professional development, and counseling.

  • Assign project work, review workloads, and ensure optimal resource allocation across assigned teams.

  • Provide operational guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with SOPs, protocols, and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor team performance, track metrics, and implement contingency plans as needed to meet study timelines and quality expectations.

  • Organize and facilitate clinical staff meetings, project reviews, and training plans to address performance gaps and reinforce compliance standards.

  • Support site selection, site contracts, regulatory submissions, and clinical monitoring activities including On-Site and Central Monitoring through study closeout.

  • Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to ensure operational alignment and support business development initiatives.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Clinical Operations, contributing to process improvements and operational strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, or equivalent; advanced education a plus.

  • Extensive experience in clinical research within a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology setting, including leadership experience.

  • Deep knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and change management skills.

  • Proficient in computer applications and able to embrace modern technologies.

  • Knowledge of project budgets, forecasting, and financial management.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% as required.
