Lab Technician II – Boulder, CO (12+ Months Contract)

Job Summary:

Integrated Resources, Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician II for a 12+ months contract role in Boulder, CO to support the Post Market Vigilance Analytics and Investigations team. The successful candidate will perform root cause analysis, failure evaluations, and continuous improvement activities for surgical medical devices. The role requires strong laboratory skills, proficiency in data analysis, and a working knowledge of quality control standards in the healthcare device sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform failure analysis and root cause determination on returned medical devices.

  • Execute visual and functional tests based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Conduct dimensional and tensile testing following USP/EP/ASTM standards.

  • Replicate failure modes using bench-top or in-vivo methods and document findings.

  • Issue Corrective Action Requests to Manufacturing or Engineering as required.

  • Prepare technical investigation reports for complaint records and customer communications.

  • Manage sanitization and shipment coordination of clinically applied device returns.

  • Maintain compliance with CFR, EU Medical Device Directive, Canadian, Japanese, Chinese, and Australian regulations.

  • Support continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; BS Degree in technical curriculum preferred.

  • Experience in laboratory environments and scientific research methods.

  • Familiarity with medical devices is preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); coding experience in C++ is a plus.

  • Skilled in the use of electronic/electrical tools.

  • Strong critical thinking, time management, and independent decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
