Position Summary

This role is critical to the operational excellence of the laboratory by ensuring lab readiness, workflow efficiency, instrumentation performance, and coordination with internal stakeholders. The position also involves training coordination and supports customer-facing technical demonstrations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lab Readiness Coordination

    • Manage end-to-end lab setup including instrument installation, materials planning, and workflow execution for internal and customer-related projects.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with applications, sales, service, and quality teams to align lab operations with business needs.

  • Instrumentation Oversight

    • Ensure instruments are properly calibrated, validated, and regularly monitored for performance.

    • Coordinate with service teams for equipment maintenance and ensure minimal downtime.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Safety

    • Maintain a safe, compliant, and audit-ready laboratory in accordance with EHS, ISO, and other regulatory standards.

  • Workflow Optimization

    • Identify gaps in lab processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

  • Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain SOPs, maintenance logs, workflow validation records, and other lab documentation.

  • Customer Engagement

    • Serve as the point of contact for lab readiness and operations during customer demonstrations, technical validations, and visits.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 7 years of relevant laboratory experience.

    • Experience in customer-facing, application support, or demo lab settings preferred.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and workflows.

    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific instruments such as:

    • LC-MS, IC, PCR, Cell Analysis, or other core platforms.

  • Knowledge of quality systems and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, GLP/GMP).

  • Experience in demonstration labs, technical centers, or application development roles.
