About the Role:
Opella is seeking a Junior Scientific Writer to join its Hyderabad team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality, evidence-based content in line with Opella’s mission to simplify self-care. You’ll contribute to the creation of medical education materials such as abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and slide decks, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and healthcare professionals.


Key Responsibilities:

Content Development & Strategy:

  • Assist in the end-to-end creation and approval of scientific content (abstracts, posters, manuscripts, slides).

  • Support the publication and medical education needs using tools like PromoMats/iEnvision.

  • Help assess publication needs and assist in implementing annual publication plans.

  • Maintain therapeutic area expertise and adapt content based on end-user feedback.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Engage with medical and scientific teams, HCPs, MSLs, and product managers to tailor deliverables.

  • Liaise with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely and accurate content delivery.

  • Support other writers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

Quality & Timelines:

  • Deliver high-standard scientific outputs within specified timelines.

  • Uphold best practices and ensure content aligns with regulatory and brand standards.


Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a Medical Degree.

  • Experience: Up to 2 years in scientific/medical content writing within healthcare, pharma, or academic settings.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Familiarity with publication development and scientific content creation

    • Therapeutic area knowledge and project support exposure

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong communication and stakeholder management

    • Team collaboration and independent working capabilities

  • Language: Excellent spoken and written English
