Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze patient medical records for accurate code assignment

  • Ensure adherence to medical coding guidelines and regulatory requirements

  • Learn and apply medical coding software

  • Interpret clinical documentation using knowledge of anatomy and physiology

  • Stay current with industry updates and attend training

  • Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information

  • Comply with employment contract, company policies, and directives (including potential location/team/shift changes)


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

    • Medical Science

    • Life Science or Bioscience

    • Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences

    • Nursing or Medicine Allied Health

  • Strong foundation in:

    • Medical terminology

    • Anatomy and physiology

    • ICD-10 guidelines and implementation

  • Proficient in reviewing medical records for accuracy and completeness


Preferred Qualifications:

  • AAPC or AHIMA Certification

  • Experience with Risk Adjustment coding
