Position Summary
The Global Systematic Literature Review (SLR) Manager plays a critical role within Amgen’s Global Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) function. This role is responsible for designing, executing, and managing systematic literature review (SLR) services to support HEOR product strategy and global market access for Amgen therapies. The SLR Manager delivers high-quality, evidence-based outputs across the product lifecycle in collaboration with Global HEOR Product Leads.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
Define and refine literature review questions in collaboration with Global HEOR Product Leads.
Prepare detailed research protocols.
Develop inclusion/exclusion criteria using the PICO framework.
Design and execute literature searches across biomedical databases (e.g., PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library) and grey literature sources (e.g., conference proceedings, regulatory sites).
Screen abstracts and full texts for relevance.
Create and review PRISMA diagrams to document study selection.
Develop and validate data abstraction tools to generate analyzable datasets.
Draft and finalize evidence tables, figures, reports, and presentations.
Interpret findings to identify key patterns and trends.
Conduct meta-analyses and feasibility assessments for evidence synthesis.
Project & Stakeholder Management
Manage project timelines, priorities, and deliverables.
Provide training and onboarding for literature review tools and platforms.
Ensure effective collaboration with global HEOR teams across time zones.
Support strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
Innovation & Tools
Leverage literature review platforms and AI-based tools to increase efficiency.
Maintain proficiency with EndNote or other reference management tools.
Utilize systematic review tools and citation databases effectively.
Qualifications
Education
Master’s degree in pharmacy, health economics, public health, medicine, epidemiology, or related field with 6+ years relevant experience, OR
Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with 8+ years relevant experience.
Experience
Demonstrated expertise in systematic literature review methods within pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting sectors.
Strong knowledge of biomedical databases (e.g., MEDLINE, Embase).
Experience with meta-analysis and network meta-analysis (NMA) preferred.
Prior experience in medical writing is an advantage.
