This role summary is for the Internal Medicine / Specialty Care Field Medical Director at Pfizer. The primary responsibilities include planning and executing a medical strategy for external medical stakeholders, maintaining knowledge of therapeutic areas and Pfizer products, providing scientific and medical expertise, and supporting patient care improvements. This role involves both independent and collaborative work within the medical team, handling medical communications, leading advisory boards, and fostering relationships with external stakeholders. The director will also mentor colleagues and contribute to research and clinical trials.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health science (PharmD/PhD preferred)
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience, depending on academic qualifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing complex projects and working in a multi-disciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with SOPs, internal/external regulations, and previous field medical experience
  • Experience in Cardiovascular, Internal Medicine, and Metabolism space

Other Information:

  • The position requires 40-50% travel, including meetings and conferences.
  • The salary ranges from $161,600 to $269,400 annually, with additional performance-based bonuses and benefits.
