Imaging Service Specialist III – Fayette, GA (Sign-On Bonus Available)

Job Overview

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an experienced Imaging Service Specialist III to perform advanced installation, maintenance, and repair of high-tech diagnostic medical equipment. This role requires hands-on expertise with imaging devices including CT, MRI, Cath & IR labs, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and Linear Accelerators. The position offers a sign-on bonus and is located in Fayette, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on diagnostic medical equipment.

  • Inspect, test, replace, and adjust malfunctioning components and parts to ensure proper functioning.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment issues, repairs, and service activities.

  • Collaborate with clinical staff and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

  • Stay current with safety regulations, technical standards, and operational protocols.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronic Technology, Imaging Service Technology, or related field.

  • Relevant military training accepted.

  • In lieu of a degree, three (3) years of relevant work experience may substitute in addition to experience requirements.

Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years of expert-level experience performing corrective and preventive maintenance on high-tech diagnostic equipment.

  • For candidates without a degree, eight (8) years of relevant experience is required.

  • Experience with CT, MRI, Cath & IR labs, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and Linear Accelerators strongly preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

  • No licensure required by law.

  • Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) preferred.

  • Vendor-specific or manufacturer training preferred.

Additional Qualifications

  • Specialized training in diagnostic imaging equipment repair and service.

  • Working knowledge of imaging technology, medical instrumentation, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

  • Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, DNV, TJC, FDA, and other state and federal regulations and standards related to equipment service.
