Role Overview
Alcon is seeking a HEOR Specialist, Value Communication, to join the Global HEOR team in Bengaluru. This position is ideal for an experienced professional skilled in health economics, outcomes research, scientific content creation, and cross-functional project coordination. The role combines scientific writing, value communication, and project management to support global HEOR initiatives across therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities
Value Communication & Scientific Content Development
Develop and refine high-quality HEOR materials including:
Global value dossiers and value briefs
Scientific abstracts for conferences
Manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications
Internal and external slide decks
Infographics, summaries, and communication tools
Ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all deliverables.
Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, HEOR, and R&D teams to align key messages.
Project Management & Operational Excellence
Serve as the central project coordinator for global HEOR initiatives.
Maintain dashboards, tracking tools, and reporting systems for deliverables and timelines.
Support updates to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Manage team meetings, documentation, follow-ups, and project workflows.
Scientific & Technical Expertise
Apply strong editorial and scientific writing skills to elevate HEOR content.
Contribute to the development of recognizable global HEOR communication standards.
Support basic budget impact modeling and cost calculations (preferred but not mandatory).
Qualifications & Experience Required
Education
Master’s degree or higher in Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Pharmacy, or a closely related field.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in HEOR, scientific communications, medical writing, or value communication.
Proven track record in developing global HEOR deliverables and value-based communication materials.
Experience in the MedTech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sector is required.
Familiarity with budget impact modeling and health economic calculations is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong command of PowerPoint, Word, and scientific publishing tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across global teams.
Detail-oriented approach with the ability to translate complex HEOR concepts into accessible, high-quality materials.
