HEOR Biostatistician – Cambridge, MA & Morristown, NJ (On-Site)

Job Summary

Sanofi is seeking a skilled HEOR Biostatistician (Sr. Manager/Associate Director level) to join its Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEVA) Team. This on-site permanent role based in Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ, offers a competitive annual salary range of $147,000–$212,333. The role focuses on designing and conducting post-hoc statistical analyses to support global and local health technology assessment (HTA) submissions, market access strategies, and pricing negotiations across multiple therapeutic areas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute post-hoc statistical analyses for HTA submissions and pricing negotiations.

  • Design efficacy analyses for target populations and health-economic modeling (cost-effectiveness).

  • Conduct indirect treatment comparisons and subgroup analyses supporting payer value stories.

  • Provide statistical guidance and support to local markets for country-specific HTA submissions.

  • Actively contribute to rapid HTA response teams for timely evidence provision.

  • Present analysis results to internal stakeholders, experts, and authors.

  • Support publication activities: contribute to manuscripts, posters, presentations, and abstracts.

  • Offer statistical expertise for clinical outcome assessments (COAs) and patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in phase 2–4 studies.

  • Review psychometric analysis plans, reports, and vendor deliverables.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Biostatistics teams.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related quantitative field.

  • Minimum 6 years of industry experience supporting clinical trials, medical affairs, or clinical development.

  • Proficient in statistical methods for human clinical studies.

  • Strong hands-on programming experience in SAS; knowledge of S-PLUS or R preferred.

  • Familiarity with SDTM/ADaM data structures and CDISC standards.

  • Understanding of regulatory and HTA guidelines (NICE DSU, IQWiG, ICH, CTD).

  • Experience with PROs and psychometric assessments beneficial.

  • Proven record in scientific publication and manuscript preparation.

  • Excellent project management, communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to interpret statistical results and convey findings to non-statistical audiences.

  • Experience managing external service providers.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
