Overview

Genmab, a global biotechnology leader specializing in antibody therapeutics, is seeking a Global Medical Affairs Strategy Intern – Solid Tumors to join its Medical Affairs team. This internship provides hands-on experience in strategic planning, oncology insights, and cross-functional collaboration within Genmab’s immuno-oncology pipeline.

Interns will lead a capstone project aligned with early solid tumor programs, contribute to global medical strategy initiatives, and gain exposure to real-world medical affairs operations, KOL engagement, and data-driven decision-making.

This role is ideal for students pursuing a PharmD, PhD, or advanced degree in biomedical sciences, oncology, immunology, pharmaceutical sciences, or public health, who are passionate about medical affairs and oncology drug development.


Key Responsibilities

Capstone Project Leadership:

  • Lead a primary cross-portfolio Medical Affairs strategy project, such as developing automated dashboards, conducting KOL mapping, or supporting competitive intelligence tracking.

  • Present project findings and strategic recommendations to the Global Medical Affairs Strategy team at internship conclusion.

Strategic Support & Analysis:

  • Contribute to internal strategic deliverables including scientific slide decks, background materials, and components of global medical plans.

  • Conduct scientific landscape assessments to inform early pipeline program strategies.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives to ensure alignment of medical and scientific strategies across programs.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Participate in team meetings, providing regular updates on project progress, insights, and strategic implications.

  • Engage with mentors and colleagues to incorporate feedback and enhance deliverables.


Required Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a PharmD, PhD, or advanced scientific degree in biomedical sciences, oncology, immunology, pharmaceutical sciences, or public health.

  • Strong interest in Medical Affairs, oncology, and drug development.

  • Ability to analyze and summarize scientific literature accurately and clearly.

  • Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global cross-functional environment.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior academic or internship experience in oncology, immunology, or Medical Affairs.

  • Familiarity with scientific publications, abstracts, or competitive intelligence in oncology.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.

  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovative biotech environment.

  • Willingness to contribute new perspectives to enhance Medical Affairs processes and analytics.


Internship Details

  • Hybrid Work Schedule: 3 days onsite in Princeton, NJ; 2 days remote per week.

  • Eligibility: Open to advanced degree students; not eligible for visa sponsorship.

  • Mentorship & Development: Direct access to global Medical Affairs professionals and guidance on strategic project execution.
