🏢 About the Role

The Executive – Packaging is responsible for supervising packaging, manufacturing, processing, and holding activities of drug products in accordance with approved procedures and cGMP requirements. This role ensures compliance, documentation accuracy, equipment qualification, and team training for the successful execution of stability and commercial batches.


💼 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Packaging & Production Supervision

  • Supervise manufacturing, processing, packaging, and holding of drug products for stability and commercial batches.

  • Ensure all operations are performed as per defined procedures and approved Batch Records.

  • Maintain compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and quality standards.

🔹 Area & Equipment Maintenance

  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, orderly, and sanitized condition.

  • Ensure all equipment remains in good repair and ready for use.

🔹 Documentation & Compliance

  • Perform online documentation as per Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

  • Review, execute, and implement:

    • Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR)

    • Batch Packaging Records (BPR)

    • Process Study Protocols and Reports

    • All other relevant documentation

🔹 Equipment Qualification

  • Coordinate Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) for new equipment or systems.

  • Perform Performance Qualification (PQ) to ensure equipment readiness for production.

🔹 Training & Development

  • Conduct training sessions for subordinates and operators on operation and cleaning SOPs.

  • Ensure all team members follow departmental SOPs and maintain compliance.

🔹 Material Handling

  • Manage material movement as per approved procedures and BMR/BPR.

  • Ensure traceability and adherence to inventory control.

🔹 Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety rules, departmental guidelines, and general instructions.

  • Promote a safe and compliant work environment.

🔹 Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD), following appropriate instructions and guidance.


Key Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of packaging operations and cGMP practices.

  • Strong understanding of BMR/BPR review and documentation control.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.

  • Ability to manage equipment qualification, process improvements, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
