Job Summary:

The Medical Information Specialist provides scientifically accurate, non-promotional responses to medical inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and payers. The role also involves identifying and documenting adverse events and product complaints, medical writing, and supporting compliance and post-marketing safety.


Key Responsibilities:

Medical Information Response

  • Respond to medical inquiries from HCPs, consumers, and payers via multiple channels (phone, email, CRM, etc.)

  • Research and evaluate scientific literature to create custom and standard responses

  • Develop content such as FAQs, SRDs, and CRDs

Safety & Compliance

  • Identify and document adverse events and product complaints

  • Ensure compliance with FDA and client reporting requirements

  • Coordinate follow-ups with Regulatory, QA, and other departments

Collaboration & Communication

  • Participate in cross-functional projects and scientific booths

  • Engage with the medical writing team to improve content and processes

Miscellaneous

  • Support training, market research, and contact center operations

  • Perform on-call duties as assigned


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: PharmD or advanced healthcare degree

  • Licensure: Licensed Pharmacist preferred

  • Experience: Prior experience in a Medical Information Contact Center and/or pharmaceutical environment

  • Therapeutic Knowledge: Oncology, Hematology, Immunology, Neurology, Cardiology, or rare diseases

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, telephony systems, Medical Information databases, and video conferencing tools

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and customer service orientation; integrity, innovation, and collaborative mindset
