Job Title: Environmental Monitoring Associate (Weekend Days)

Location: Spokane, WA

Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Shift: Weekend Days (Friday - Sunday & Every other Thursday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM)

Job Description:

Jubilant HollisterStier LLC, a respected leader in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, is seeking an Environmental Monitoring (EM) Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring biological and airborne particulate levels in cleanroom environments used for the preparation, compounding, and filling of sterile injectable drug products. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our environmental controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First 6 Months:
    • Collect product and environmental samples in an ISO 8 environment during extended shifts (8, 10, and 12 hours).
    • Operate sampling and testing equipment, including environmental software applications.
    • Prepare supplies for sample collection and testing.
    • Operate an autoclave for sterilizing supplies.
    • Perform verification and incubation of EM samples.
    • Ensure data accuracy and review SOPs for compliance.
    • Achieve Aseptic Gown Certification.
  • 6 to 12 Months:
    • Obtain gown certification for ISO 7, 6, and 5 classifications.
    • Monitor and collect test samples for surface, air, personnel, product, and utility systems (e.g., compressed gas and WFI).
    • Redline and review SOPs as required.
    • Assist in environmental investigations and write clear observational memos.
    • Provide training for Aseptic Area Gown Certification and SOPs.
    • Obtain Train the Trainer certification.
  • 12 to 24 Months:
    • Cross-train on multiple sterile filling lines, maintaining gown certifications for ISO 7, 6, and 5.
    • Perform environmental investigations and analyze trends in environmental data.
    • Lead training programs and assist in evaluating resources for assigned tasks.
    • Review and revise EM SOPs using Master Control.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to read and understand detailed procedures and directions.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong decision-making skills related to environmental issues.
  • Ability to work independently, follow procedures, and report deviations accurately.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted, stand or sit for prolonged periods, and perform aseptic gowning.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting Wage: $22.98 per hour, with opportunities for growth, promotion, and annual raises.
  • Shift Differential Pay:
    • Weekend Day Shift (12HRS): 12% additional pay.
    • Weekday Day Shift (12HRS): 2.5% additional pay.
    • Weekday Night Shift (12HRS): 10% additional pay.
    • Weekend Night Shift (12HRS): 15% additional pay.
