About the Opportunity

The Duke Cancer Network is seeking a community Hematology-Oncology physician to join the team at Gibson Cancer Center in Lumberton, NC. This is a full-time opportunity to practice Monday through Friday in a 34,000 square foot, 24-treatment chair free-standing cancer center. The role involves working alongside community-based and rotating Duke Health Oncologists, APPs, Radiation Oncology, a Pharmacist, and a Social Worker, with an on-site lab and robust support.

Position Details

  • Patient Load: See 12-15 patients per day while developing a general Hematology-Oncology practice with an area of clinical interest.
  • Call Coverage: Participate in a rotation with other Duke Cancer Network physicians.
  • Collaboration: Join Duke Health colleagues at tumor boards, engage in clinical trials research, and have the opportunity to teach Duke Hematology-Oncology fellows.
