Team

  • Department: Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics (QP2) – Immune/Oncology

  • Part of: Global Clinical Development organization


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert in pharmacometrics for oncology development programs

  • Lead model-based drug development strategies including:

    • Translational PK/PD modeling

    • Population PK modeling

    • Exposure-response analysis

    • Tumor size and survival modeling

    • QSP (Quantitative Systems Pharmacology) modeling

  • Author regulatory documents (INDs, CTDs, CSRs) and represent QP2-IO in meetings with global health authorities

  • Mentor/supervise junior scientists

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors


Education Requirements

  • Ph.D. with 7+ years of relevant experience

  • OR Master’s/PharmD with 9+ years of experience

  • Relevant fields: Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics, Biostatistics, Engineering, or related life sciences


Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven leadership in model-informed drug development

  • Strong record of regulatory submission support (IND, NDA, etc.)

  • High proficiency in modeling tools: NONMEM, R, MATLAB, Monolix

  • Strong statistical and data interpretation skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication


Remote Work Eligibility

  • Role is remote only for applicants outside commuting distance to Merck's primary sites

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $187,000 – $294,400
