About the Role:
Amgen is hiring a strategic and execution-oriented Director - Global Value & Access (GV&A) to lead the India-based GV&A Innovation Center. This senior leadership role is pivotal in building and evolving new functional capabilities across HEOR, pricing, and access strategies, while driving the transition of operations from global teams and external vendors into Amgen India. The role is part of the Global HEOR Leadership Team and requires strong expertise in value strategy, organizational transformation, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Capability Design and Establishment:

  • Define and execute a phased roadmap for building GV&A and related capabilities in the innovation center.

  • Partner with global stakeholders to assess and transition appropriate functional workstreams.

2. Work Transition and Insourcing:

  • Lead end-to-end transition of activities from global teams and third-party vendors into the India center.

  • Ensure smooth knowledge transfer, operational continuity, and effective risk management.

3. Team Development and Talent Management:

  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor top talent.

  • Build a performance-driven, collaborative, and accountable culture.

  • Foster continuous development of staff aligned with Amgen’s mission and goals.

4. Global Engagement and Alignment:

  • Liaise with international business units to ensure alignment on process, metrics, and expectations.

  • Act as the India hub’s point of contact for GV&A transition activities globally.

5. Performance Monitoring and Process Optimization:

  • Track key performance indicators and transformation milestones.

  • Identify challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Report regularly to senior leadership on progress and insights.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Business, Health Economics, Operations, or Life Sciences with 4+ years as a V&A leader across HEOR, pricing, and access strategies
    OR

  • Master’s with 14–16 years of experience in similar leadership roles
    OR

  • Bachelor’s with 16–18 years of extensive experience in HEOR, pricing, and market access.

Required Expertise:

  • Proven ability to stand up and scale teams in India.

  • Experience managing insourcing initiatives and large-scale transitions.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Expertise in HEOR, access strategy, and healthcare economics.

  • Comfortable working in dynamic, cross-functional global environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in global innovation centers or shared service environments.

  • Formal knowledge of change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).

  • Strong strategic thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities.
