Job Overview
Velocity Clinical Research is hiring a Director, Clinical Site to lead end-to-end clinical research operations, site performance, and business growth. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring clinical trial excellence, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.
You will oversee the entire clinical site ecosystem, including study feasibility, patient recruitment, staffing, budgeting, and sponsor relationships, making you a key driver in accelerating drug development and clinical trial success.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Operations & Site Management
Lead and manage overall clinical site operations and trial execution
Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, protocols, and SOPs
Oversee study lifecycle: feasibility → start-up → conduct → close-out
Financial & Business Management
Manage site budgets, financial forecasting, and revenue tracking
Ensure achievement of operational, financial, and study targets
Oversee invoicing, sponsor payments, and financial performance
Patient Recruitment & Study Delivery
Develop and optimize patient recruitment and retention strategies
Collaborate with external partners for successful enrollment
Monitor study timelines and ensure high-quality data delivery
Leadership & Team Development
Manage, mentor, and develop clinical research staff
Build staffing plans and ensure proper training and delegation
Conduct performance evaluations and drive team productivity
Regulatory & Quality Compliance
Ensure adherence to ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, and SOPs
Maintain audit-ready documentation and quality standards
Coordinate with IRBs, sponsors, CROs, and regulatory bodies
Stakeholder & Business Development
Build strong relationships with sponsors, CROs, CRAs, and vendors
Drive site expansion and research capability growth strategies
Engage with healthcare providers to support recruitment and partnerships
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree (required)
Advanced degree in Life Sciences / Clinical Research / Healthcare Management – preferred
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of clinical management experience in clinical research
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, clinical trial operations, and regulatory frameworks
Experience with CTMS (e.g., Clinical Conductor), CRM tools, and MS Office
Understanding of drug development lifecycle and protocol design
