Role Overview:

The Clinical Specialist Consultant ensures the reliability and consistency of clinical trial data by reviewing and providing guidance on rating scales administered by raters. The role includes evaluating the quality of assessments, conducting live interactions with raters to discuss methodologies, scoring techniques, and offering further support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment Quality Review: Review scales administered by raters to ensure they are standardized and reliable for clinical trials. Provide live feedback to raters on assessment methodologies and scoring techniques.
Training & Calibration: Participate in all required orientation, training, and calibration activities to ensure proper understanding of assessment protocols.
Rater Interaction: Evaluate case data, prepare for discussions with raters, and ensure that necessary documents are ready for review. Perform functional assessments such as mock interviews to evaluate rater performance.
Documentation: Ensure timely submission of all documentation associated with assigned tasks. Maintain accurate records of activities.
Support & Communication: Assist with the preparation and dissemination of communications and other materials as needed for clinical trials.

Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

Education: A Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, or a related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience administering psychiatric assessments, rating scales, or structured clinical interviews.
- At least 3 years' clinical experience with related psychiatric populations.
- At least 3 years' experience administering scales in clinical research trials (excluding graduate/doctoral research).
- Experience in central nervous system (CNS) trials is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting professionally with all levels of personnel and clients.
- Excellent organizational, time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.

Fluency Requirements:

Current openings require fluency in English and a native speaker of the language required for the trial.
