About the Role

IQVIA is seeking a Tamil-speaking Clinical Specialist to support clinical trial assessment quality through expert review of psychiatric rating scales and structured clinical interviews. This role ensures that raters administer assessments in a standardized, reliable manner to maintain data accuracy and clinical integrity across the study.

The position is part-time, requiring approximately 10–16 hours per month, and offers a fully remote work model.

Key Responsibilities

• Review clinical rating scales administered by site raters to ensure standardization, accuracy, and compliance with study requirements.
• Conduct live interactions with raters to discuss assessment methodology, scoring techniques, and best practices.
• Perform functional assessments of rater performance, including mock interviews and evaluation sessions.
• Provide feedback, guidance, and training support as needed to maintain assessment quality.
• Assist in preparing study communications and documentation related to rater performance.
• Participate in orientation, training, and calibration activities.
• Prepare adequately for rater discussions by reviewing case data, scale items, and study materials.
• Complete and submit all required documentation in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, or a related field.
• Advanced degrees such as MD, DO, or PhD are preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience administering psychiatric assessments, structured interviews, and rating scales.
• Required experience with EQ-5D-5L (Interviewer and Proxy 1 versions) and mRS assessments.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience working with psychiatric populations.
• Minimum 3 years of experience conducting assessments in clinical research trials (excluding academic research).
• Experience in CNS (Central Nervous System) clinical trials preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally interact with diverse clinical personnel.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail orientation, and time management capabilities.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluency in English and native-level Tamil proficiency required for current openings.

Experience Level

3–7 years of relevant clinical and assessment experience in psychiatric or CNS-related environments.
