Position Overview

The Punjabi-Speaking Clinical Trial Psych Rater (Clinical Specialist Consultant) supports clinical trials by ensuring psychiatric assessments are conducted accurately, consistently, and in full compliance with standardized methodologies. This remote part-time role, requiring approximately 10–16 hours per month, involves reviewing assessment scales, evaluating rater performance, and conducting live feedback sessions to maintain the reliability and integrity of clinical data.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review psychiatric rating scales administered by site raters to ensure standardization and data integrity.

  • Conduct live interactions with raters to provide guidance on scoring methodology, assessment techniques, and protocol adherence.

  • Perform functional assessments of rater skills, including mock interviews or structured performance evaluations.

  • Assist in preparing and distributing communications and documentation required for study operations.

  • Participate in mandatory orientation, training, and calibration sessions to ensure scoring accuracy.

  • Analyze case data and prepare detailed notes for rater discussions and feedback sessions.

  • Complete all assigned rater interactions and tasks according to agreed timelines.

  • Ensure timely submission of required documentation related to assigned activities.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing, Social Work, or an equivalent field.

  • Preferred: MD, DO, or PhD in a clinically relevant discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience administering psychiatric assessments, rating scales, or structured clinical interviews.

  • Strong experience specifically with:

    • EQ-5D-5L (Interviewer Administered and Proxy 1 versions)

    • mRS (Modified Rankin Scale)

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience working with psychiatric or behavioral health populations.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical research trials involving psychiatric assessments (excluding graduate or doctoral research).

  • Experience in Central Nervous System (CNS) clinical trials preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work professionally with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, effective time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and digital communication platforms.

  • Language Requirement: Native Punjabi speaker with strong fluency in English.


Experience Level

  • Mid to Senior Level

  • Candidates must possess at least 3 years of psychiatric assessment experience and 3 years of clinical trial rating experience.
