Job Description:

The Clinical Supervisor RN is responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Human Resource Management:

    • Select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, and counsel employees.

    • Communicate job expectations and monitor performance.

    • Appraise job contributions and recommend compensation actions.

  • Operational Standards:

    • Contribute information to strategic plans and reviews.

    • Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.

    • Resolve problems and identify system improvements.

  • Patient Care Coordination:

    • Schedule and assign nursing staff to meet patient care requirements.

    • Follow up on work results to ensure high standards of care.

  • Compassionate Environment:

    • Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.

    • Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families.

  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Develop and enforce infection-control policies and protocols.

    • Ensure compliance with medication administration and storage procedures.

    • Enforce controlled substance regulations.

  • Confidentiality and Documentation:

    • Monitor confidential information processing to maintain patient confidence.

    • Audit patient and department records to ensure documentation accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of Supervisor experience – Required

  • Acute Care experience – Required

  • Prior travel experience – Preferred

  • Active NH or Compact License at the time of submission – Required

  • BLS/CPR (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications – Required

Certifications/Registrations:

  • ACLS

  • BLS/CPR (Must be AHA)

  • PALS
