Job Description:
The Clinical Supervisor RN is responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Human Resource Management:
Select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, and counsel employees.
Communicate job expectations and monitor performance.
Appraise job contributions and recommend compensation actions.
Operational Standards:
Contribute information to strategic plans and reviews.
Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
Resolve problems and identify system improvements.
Patient Care Coordination:
Schedule and assign nursing staff to meet patient care requirements.
Follow up on work results to ensure high standards of care.
Compassionate Environment:
Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families.
Safety and Compliance:
Develop and enforce infection-control policies and protocols.
Ensure compliance with medication administration and storage procedures.
Enforce controlled substance regulations.
Confidentiality and Documentation:
Monitor confidential information processing to maintain patient confidence.
Audit patient and department records to ensure documentation accuracy.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of Supervisor experience – Required
Acute Care experience – Required
Prior travel experience – Preferred
Active NH or Compact License at the time of submission – Required
BLS/CPR (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications – Required
