Position Overview

IQVIA is seeking a Clinical Specialist / Stroke Rater fluent in Gujarati to support stroke-focused clinical trials. This remote, part-time role is ideal for clinicians with experience in stroke patient care who can ensure accuracy, data quality, and protocol compliance across clinical assessments.

As a Clinical Specialist, you will administer standardized stroke rating scales, review assessments from other raters, provide training feedback, and maintain inter-rater reliability for clinical trial data.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer stroke-specific scales to trial participants, including EQ-5D-5L (Interviewer & Proxy versions) and modified Rankin Scale (mRS)

  • Review and evaluate assessments performed by other raters for accuracy, consistency, and protocol adherence

  • Conduct live interactions with raters and provide professional guidance on scoring methodology

  • Participate in training, orientation, and calibration sessions to maintain certification and compliance

  • Prepare for rater discussions by reviewing case data and relevant documentation

  • Complete scheduled rater interactions and submit all required documentation accurately and on time

  • Support mock interviews and functional assessment of rater performance as needed


Required Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Minimum: Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Medicine, Neurology, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a related clinical field

  • Preferred: MD, DO, or PhD

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of clinical experience with stroke patients

  • Experience administering stroke-related rating scales in clinical trials

  • Previous CNS or stroke trial experience is an advantage

Skills:

  • Proficiency in EQ-5D-5L and mRS administration

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for professional interaction with raters and trial staff

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management

  • Fluent in Gujarati (oral and written)
