Role Overview:

As a Clinical Specialist, you will be instrumental in covering Intracept cases, providing training to surgical teams on the safe and effective use of the device. This role involves traveling within your assigned territory and occasionally nationwide. You will work closely with the surgical team to offer clinical product support, assist in physician and sales training programs, and contribute to our mission of improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Case Coverage: Provide on-site support for Intracept cases, ensuring effective and safe device use.
  • Training: Educate surgical teams to enhance patient outcomes and support sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Technical Acumen: Stay updated on perioperative surgical technology practices and hospital/ASC policies and procedures.
  • Equipment Management: Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and kits, manage inventory, and ensure quality control.
  • Troubleshooting: Address equipment issues as per standard procedures and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, including quality standards and promotional guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 4 years in a clinical specialist role or related medical position with a high school diploma or GED, or
    • Minimum of 2 years with a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Experience with fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, or X-rays.
    • Proficiency in customer relationship management and procedural skill development.
  • Transportation: Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Normal vision is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Operating Room exposure or background in spine or pain management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $90,000 annually.
  • Variable Compensation: Up to $20,000 based on performance, as per Boston Scientific’s Sales Incentive Compensation Plan.
