Clinical Scientist – Infectious Disease (Remote, USA)

Job Summary:
ICON Strategic Solutions is hiring a Clinical Scientist specializing in Infectious Disease for a remote position in the United States. In this role, you’ll support end-to-end clinical development activities, including protocol creation, data review, regulatory documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 3–5+ years of clinical research experience and a strong foundation in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), especially within a global trial environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and amend clinical trial protocols in collaboration with clinical leadership.

  • Develop clinical documents, including Investigator’s Brochures, safety updates, and regulatory submissions.

  • Contribute to pharmacovigilance documentation and attend safety monitoring meetings.

  • Support CRF design, data tools implementation, and data review strategy.

  • Perform detailed data reviews to identify safety signals, trends, and quality concerns.

  • Participate in investigator meetings, regulatory briefings, and data monitoring boards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize study execution and data integrity.

  • Guide process improvement initiatives in clinical data review and insights generation.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related clinical discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience for Clinical Scientist; 5+ years for Senior Clinical Scientist.

  • Solid knowledge of GCP and drug development (ideally Phase I–III trials).

  • Experience with infectious disease studies is strongly preferred.

  • Skilled in global clinical trial execution within pharma or CRO environments.

  • Proficient in using EDC systems, Excel, and other data reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure setting.

  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

  • Experience working in matrix teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
