Job Summary:

Fortrea, a leading global Contract Research Organization (CRO), is hiring an on-call Clinical Research Technician/Phlebotomist for its Daytona Beach, FL unit. This on-site role focuses on direct participant care during early-phase clinical trials, including vital signs monitoring, phlebotomy, ECG preparation, and biological sample collection. Ideal for individuals with EMT, CNA, CMA, or phlebotomy certification, this opportunity offers exposure to cutting-edge clinical research and drug development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately measure and record blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiratory rate, and weight.

  • Perform venipuncture and prepare ECGs/Holters as per study protocol.

  • Collect and process biological samples with proper documentation and distribution.

  • Ensure participant dietary compliance during monitored meals.

  • Assist in room setup, medical equipment preparation, and overall clinic readiness.

  • Support participant screening procedures as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment.

  • Perform additional clinical tasks as assigned.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (mandatory).

  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification preferred.

  • 0–1 year of related clinical or research technician experience.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment where accuracy and timeliness are critical.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using electronic data capture systems.
