Job Summary

Fortrea, a global leader in clinical research services, is hiring a Clinical Research Technician - Phlebotomist at our Daytona Beach, FL facility. This full-time, on-site role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to early-phase clinical trials by performing essential clinical tasks such as venipuncture, ECG preparation, and biological sample processing. If you’re detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about patient safety and drug development, this role is designed for you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate venipuncture and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature).

  • Prepare and document ECGs/Holters precisely as per protocol.

  • Collect and process biological samples ensuring correct handling and distribution.

  • Monitor participant meal compliance during clinical trials.

  • Assist in preparing rooms, medical equipment, and performing screening procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work and study environment.

  • Carry out additional clinical and operational duties as assigned.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification preferred.

  • 0–1 year of related clinical or research experience.

  • Strong phlebotomy skills mandatory.

  • Adaptability to fast-paced, protocol-driven clinical environments.

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and electronic data recording skills.
