Job Summary

Eli Lilly is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Research Physician with expertise in endocrinology, diabetes, or obesity to join its Global Medical Affairs team. This role is central to advancing the incretin portfolio through late-phase research, regulatory support, scientific dissemination, and global medical strategy. The position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to improving outcomes for patients living with diabetes and obesity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global medical strategies and late-phase clinical development activities in diabetes and obesity.

  • Support product commercialization, regulatory interactions, and payer engagement.

  • Collaborate with clinical operations, development, and translational science teams.

  • Participate in scientific meetings, advisory boards, and external expert engagements.

  • Review and interpret clinical safety data and provide medical oversight.

  • Develop scientific materials, publications, and educational content.

  • Contribute to label development and global medical communication strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA/EMA/ICH regulations, and internal policies.


Required Qualifications

  • Medical Doctor (MD), preferably board-certified or board-eligible in Endocrinology or Diabetology.

  • Clinical experience in diabetes or obesity.

  • U.S.-trained or international medical graduates must meet LCME-equivalent standards.

  • 3 or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and global regulatory standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance scientific integrity with business objectives.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional leadership skills.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with regulatory submissions, label development, or real-world evidence generation.

  • Understanding of payer engagement, access strategies, and observational research methodologies.

  • Experience in developing and implementing global medical strategies.


Salary and Compensation

  • Salary Range: $198,000 – $336,600 per year (USD)
