Clinical Research Nurse (RN, LPN, or Paramedic) – PM Shift

Job Summary

Fortrea, a global leader in contract research, is hiring Clinical Research Nurses (RN, LPN, or Paramedics) to join its Patient Services team in Madison, WI. This full-time, on-site role involves direct interaction with healthy clinical trial participants during Phase 1 studies, focusing on drug safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics. Ideal for healthcare professionals looking to make an impact in early-phase drug development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct vital signs assessments including BP, venipuncture, weight, pulse, respiration, and temperature.

  • Prepare and record ECGs/Holters as per study protocols.

  • Collect, process, and distribute biological samples according to protocols.

  • Monitor participant dietary compliance during clinical trials.

  • Prepare clinical rooms and medical equipment before studies.

  • Assist with participant screening procedures as needed.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the clinical team.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certification preferred.

  • 0–1 year of related clinical experience preferred.

  • Paramedics must hold valid certification.

  • Strong attention to detail in protocol-driven environments.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, time-sensitive clinical settings.

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Comfortable with technology-driven data collection systems.
