JOB OVERVIEW

The Clinical Research Associate I is responsible for supporting business development initiatives by conducting research and analysis of clinical trial registries, regulatory databases, and pharmaceutical market intelligence. The role involves identifying potential sponsors, generating qualified leads, maintaining business development databases, analyzing regulatory and clinical trial data, tracking pharmaceutical pipelines, preparing reports and dashboards, and utilizing AI-powered prospecting tools to support strategic outreach and business growth for clinical research services.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Research & Market Intelligence

  • Search and analyze clinical trial registries to identify potential sponsors.

  • Review regulatory databases, including SEC filings and ANDA databases.

  • Monitor pharmaceutical pipelines and clinical development activities.

  • Track regulatory approvals and product launches.

  • Identify emerging business opportunities within the CRO industry.

Business Development Support

  • Generate qualified leads for the Business Development team.

  • Build and maintain sponsor and prospect databases.

  • Support strategic targeting of pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

  • Collaborate with Business Development teams to improve lead quality.

  • Assist in planning business outreach initiatives.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Perform data mining from clinical and regulatory databases.

  • Analyze market trends and business opportunities.

  • Prepare analytical reports and business dashboards.

  • Generate insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Present findings to internal stakeholders.

Database Management

  • Maintain structured lead databases using Microsoft Excel.

  • Update sponsor and company information regularly.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of business intelligence data.

  • Organize regulatory and clinical research information.

  • Manage business development documentation.

AI-Based Prospecting

  • Utilize AI-powered prospecting tools such as Apollo.ai.

  • Identify key decision-makers within pharmaceutical companies.

  • Support bulk email outreach campaigns.

  • Maintain CRM and prospecting databases.

  • Improve outreach efficiency through automation tools.

Regulatory & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor clinical trial registrations and regulatory updates.

  • Analyze competitor activities within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Track generic drug approvals and ANDA submissions.

  • Identify companies expanding clinical development programs.

  • Support competitive intelligence initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Clinical Trial Managers (CTMs).

  • Coordinate with Business Development teams.

  • Support strategic planning discussions.

  • Share market intelligence with internal stakeholders.

  • Contribute to business growth initiatives.


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in:

  • B.Pharm

  • M.Pharm

  • M.Sc. (Life Sciences)

  • Biotechnology

  • Clinical Research

  • Pharmaceutical Sciences

  • Or an equivalent Life Sciences discipline


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Required

  • 5 years of experience in:

    • Clinical Research

    • Clinical Trials

    • CRO Operations

    • Pharmaceutical Business Development

    • Market Research

    • Competitive Intelligence

Preferred

  • Experience analyzing ClinicalTrials.gov and regulatory databases.

  • Experience with SEC filings and ANDA databases.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical market intelligence.

  • Knowledge of AI-based prospecting tools such as Apollo.ai.

  • Experience using CRM platforms and marketing automation tools.
