Job Title: Clinical Contracts Associate

Location: Foster City, CA (Onsite, hybrid model accepted 2 to 3 days onsite)

Department: R&D Sourcing and Contracting

Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Sourcing Support:
    • Assist in pre-clinical/research and global Phase I-IV clinical trials sourcing.
    • Support specialty laboratory and functional services sourcing.
  2. Contract Negotiation:
    • Review contracts swiftly and negotiate business terms.
    • Assist in negotiating legal terms.
  3. Organizational Management:
    • Maintain organized cataloging of contract terms and conditions into a database.
  4. Vendor Selection Process:
    • Support the entire life cycle of vendor selection, including RFI, RFP, vendor decision, and contract negotiation.
    • Manage the change order process.
    • Ensure proper closeout of agreements.
  5. Issue Resolution:
    • Assist in resolving moderately complex issues related to contract negotiation or management.
    • Collaborate with internal customers and the Legal department.
  6. Contract Lifecycle Assistance:
    • Assist in the contract negotiation process, particularly with less complex or low-value contracts.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with internal and external teams.
  • Proficient in completing tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with contracting framework and general legal terms.
