Job Title: Clinical Research Director (Immunology & Inflammation – Dermatology)

About the Role

The Clinical Research Director (CRD) will lead the clinical development strategy for immunology and inflammation (I&I) therapeutic areas, especially in dermatology. This role involves designing and executing clinical development plans, overseeing studies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving innovation in translational medicine.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning

    • Develop and document clinical development plans (CDP).

    • Align CDP with project strategy and secure governance endorsement.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical ops, translational medicine, regulatory, biostatistics, drug discovery, drug safety, marketing).

  • Clinical Study Design & Execution

    • Lead sub-teams to design studies and develop protocols.

    • Oversee study execution following GCP, ICH guidelines, and SOPs.

    • Review supporting documents (Investigator’s Brochure, IND/CTA submissions, regulatory dossiers).

  • Regulatory & Compliance

    • Support drug registration and regulatory submissions.

    • Represent Clinical Development at Health Authority meetings.

    • Incorporate external regulatory/scientific advice into strategies.

  • Scientific Leadership

    • Advance knowledge in dermatology and immunology.

    • Contribute to publications and presentations of study results.

    • Maintain scientific connections and incorporate external expertise.

    • Evaluate clinical aspects of business development opportunities.

  • Collaboration & Alliance Management

    • Align company strategy with partners in alliance projects.

    • Work closely with research and translational medicine teams.

  • Ethics & Integrity

    • Apply high ethical standards in clinical practice and decision-making.


Required Expertise

  • Strong foundation in Dermatology and Immunology.

  • Experience in drug development, translational medicine, and novel biomarker approaches.

  • Knowledge of clinical trial designs, endpoints, and statistical methods.

  • Ability to translate disease biology into clinical outcomes.

  • Awareness of competitive environment and scientific trends.

  • Proven record of publications and academic contributions.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    • MD (Medical Doctor) – Board certified in Dermatology or Allergy/Immunology.

    • Must have completed training from an LCME-accredited (or equivalent) medical school.

  • Experience:

    • ≥5 years of clinical/scientific experience in dermatology or

    • ≥10 years of industry experience in related therapeutic areas.

    • Prior pharmaceutical or experimental medicine experience preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

    • Leadership in cross-cultural, global environments.

    • Problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities.

    • Fluency in English (verbal & written).
