Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Psychiatry

📍 Location: Dayton Children's - Main Campus | Full-time | 40 hours/week

We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to collaborate with pharmacy teams, prescribers, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals in a pediatric psychiatry setting. This role ensures safe, effective, and individualized medication therapy for patients.

Key Responsibilities

Medication Management: Promote safe and effective medication use in a pediatric setting.
Clinical Interventions: Detect, prevent, and resolve drug-related issues.
Patient-Centered Care: Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services based on age and disease-specific needs.
Leadership & Research: Support medication policies, evidence-based strategies, and clinical research.
Preceptorship: Mentor pharmacy residents and students.

Requirements

✔️ Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy
✔️ Licensure: Eligible for Ohio Pharmacist License (must obtain before start date)
✔️ Experience (one of the following):

  • PGY2 Pharmacy Residency (Pediatrics or relevant specialty)
  • PGY1 Pharmacy Residency (with pediatric focus)
  • 4+ years of hospital experience with pediatric patients
