📌 Position Overview

Join UVA Health’s esteemed Solid Organ Transplant team as a Clinical Pharmacist and play a pivotal role in patient-centered care, innovative research, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medication management for solid organ transplant patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy.
  • Monitor and adjust immunosuppressive therapies to prevent rejection and minimize complications.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on transplant pharmacotherapy.
  • Conduct research and contribute to clinical advancements in transplantation.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional protocols, state, and federal regulations.

📋 Job Requirements

  • PharmD or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency (PGY-2 in Transplant Pharmacy preferred).
  • Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or Solid Organ Transplant Pharmacy (BCTXP) preferred.
  • Eligible for pharmacist licensure in Virginia.
  • Strong clinical, analytical, and communication skills.
