Work Schedule

  • 3rd shift with rotating weekends and holidays

  • Week 1: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (3 days)

  • Week 2: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (2 days)

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess specimen acceptability according to established criteria

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures per SOPs

  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation

  • Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving

  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls

  • Report accurate and timely test results

  • Perform preventive maintenance and document quality control procedures

  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies

  • Assist with specimen processing as needed

  • Maintain a safe work environment and use appropriate PPE


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or equivalent non-traditional degree meeting CLIA & State regulations

  • Previous clinical laboratory testing experience highly preferred

  • ASCP or AMT certification preferred

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in computers; familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

  • Must pass standardized color vision screening

  • Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed
