Join Labcorp as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. Work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and contribute to Labcorp’s mission: “Improving Health, Improving Lives.”

This role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, troubleshooting instrumentation, and ensuring accurate, timely test results for quality patient care.


🕒 Work Schedule

  • Weekdays: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

  • 5 x 8-hour shifts

  • Rotating weekends


💼 Key Responsibilities

  • Determine specimen acceptability for testing per established criteria

  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to SOPs

  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments

  • Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving

  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls

  • Report accurate and timely test results

  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control

  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies

  • Assist with specimen processing when needed

  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE


🎓 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or non-traditional degree meeting CLIA & state requirements

  • Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory testing experience OR MLS degree

  • Florida State Medical Technologist License

  • ASCP or AMT certification preferred

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Proficient with computers; familiarity with LIS is a plus

  • High attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills

  • Must pass a standardized color vision screen

  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed
