Clinical Eye Care Nurse Educator – San Francisco, CA

Job Summary

Syneos Health is hiring a Clinical Eye Care Nurse Educator in San Francisco, California to support cancer patient care through focused education of Eye Care Professionals (ECPs). This position plays a pivotal role in guiding ECPs on essential ocular assessments for Relapsed Refractory Multiple Myeloma (RRMM) patients undergoing treatment. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll lead impactful training, collaborate with Hem/Onc teams, and help ensure patients receive coordinated, informed care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Educate Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) on the importance of ocular exams in RRMM treatment protocols.

  • Deliver tailored training materials to support Health Care Professionals (HCPs) in eye exam procedures and result interpretation.

  • Collaborate with Oncology Account Managers and Medical Affairs to align on REMS and FDA guidance communication.

  • Facilitate timely and effective coordination of care between ECPs and Hematology/Oncology teams.

  • Provide actionable insights to improve communication and education around patient visual health.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) required.

  • Minimum 3 years in optometry, ophthalmology, or nursing with oncology or medical education focus OR 1–3 years of direct oncology clinical experience.

  • Proven ability to clearly communicate complex oncology concepts to Eye Care Professionals and other stakeholders.

  • Skilled in developing and delivering product-specific training content.

  • Strong verbal and written communication across professional levels.

  • Effective team collaborator with cross-functional experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in specialty pharmacy or payer systems.

  • CRNs, Nurse Practitioners (NPs), or Physician Assistants (PAs) with experience in eye care are highly preferred.
